2 v.
Edited by John Tanner, this weekly mechanic's magazine succeeded the New York State Mechanic and was much like it in form and content, but was more literary. It published some fiction. politics, and miscellany and contained serial stories by J.N.T. Tucker, T.S. Arthur, and others. It contained contributions by the most distinguished mechanics in the U.S., lists of patents and inventions, some diagrams, poetry, tales, and selections from other sources.
