This two-story building once housed the offices of the Libby Canning Factory.  The building measures 40 feet by 100 feet for 4,000 square feet of floor space on each floor.  The second floor of the building is to be used as the office space for the Woodford Center and the Welcome Center for the entire site.  The first floor will consist of multi-purpose seminar/classroom/meeting room locations.  Two large and two small rooms are planned and these will have dividers that can either connect the smaller or larger rooms together.

 

This building includes an elevator that connects the first and second floor and also rises to the skywalk level.  The skywalk connects this building with the museum building.  In the schematics above the elevator site is highlighted in red.

 

The primary entrance to the Welcome Center site will be developed at the current loading dock site that is just west of the elevator site (the narrow green) location in the above diagram.  Excluding the restrooms that are shown, the Welcome Center will consist of one large open area (40 x 60 feet).  This location can serve in a multi-purpose role as well since it may be used for special receptions associated with events hosted by the Woodford Center.

 

The area shaded in blue is the reception area for the Woodford Center offices.  The diagram includes space for three offices: (1) The Director, (2) the Marketing/Development officer, and (3) the Education/Intern Coordinator.  In addition, shaded space is provided for office storage and an additional conference room is included.  It can be used for training sessions, staff meetings, or meetings of the Board of Directors.
